Sutton Won the Class A State Championship 100 Years Ago This Week
The Sutton High basketball team won the Class "A" championship in 1922 beating Crete in the finals after disposing of Fremont, Omaha Commerce, and Grand Island in the tourney.

In a result which later seemed a bit ironic, Clay Center defeated Sutton for the 1922 Clay County Championship.

1947 Clay County Basketball Tournament Results
Clay Center won the Clay County High School Basketball Tournament in 1947, 75 years ago. Sutton placed third after defeating Glenvil in the consolation bracket. Ong was the runner-up.

The 1946 Harvard Football Team Capped a 4-year Dynasty
The Harvard football team had a heckuva run from 1943 through 1946, four years with one defeat, one tie, and a bunch of wins.
Note the military ranks of the coaches in '44 and '45. Must be a story or two behind that.
