For years there were only two 24-hour filling stations and cafe's between Lincoln and Hastings on Highway 6, and they were across the street from each other at Highway 6 & Saunders Ave., Dan's 66 Station and Ted's Highway Cafe and Station.
The repeatable route to drive "around town" went around back of Ted's on one end and a U-Turn at the Park corner at the other.
