Gold & Co. Ad in Sutton Paper in 1921
In 1921, 31 years after moving from Sutton to Lincoln, Gold & Co. was still running ads in Clay County papers. This from The Sutton News in February 1921.
1921 Sutton Basketball games
Sutton's 1921 basketball team beat Fairmont 42-15 and the Reserves beat Stockham 54-21.
For those familiar with that era, this was one year before may of these fellows, Steinhauer, Schwarz, M. Wieland, cousin G. Wieland, Spielman, maybe Kahm would return to win the Nebraska Class A championship, and go onto bigger things.
Below is the tale of a less successful trip to Lincoln.
In an earlier road trip recounted in The Sutton News of February 18, 1921, the Sutton Mustangs took a 20-16 loss to Lincoln High before losing 37-13 to University Place.
