Farm Names Were a Thing in 1921
There was a movement to name farms in 1921. This article from the June 23, 1921 issue of The Clay County Patriot newspaper describes that effort. Names were registered with the county clerk.
Wonder why that didn't catch on. Seems like a cool idea even now a century later. Europeans, at least Italians, have been naming their houses for a long time.
